Abbott & Costello in person autographs 1947
While filming "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein "
Highly desirable set of exceptional autographs from legendary comedy team Abbott & Costello". Autographed on the back of a Brass & Rail menu, “To Ronnie & Florence Bud Abbott & Lou Costello”.
Card size: 7x8.5". Signatures are quite large. Bud Abbott's is about 3.5" long.
Letter of provenance from original owner reads “in August of 1947 Abbott & Costello were in New York City. They ate lunch at the Brass Rail in Times Square which my Dad worked. My Dad asked for their autographs which they made out to my sister (Florence) and me (Ronnie). The day was August 8, 1947 and the menu was so dated”. An extraordinary account of meeting one of the most famous comedy teams in the history of entertainment.
I have had this exciting set of autographs in my own collection for several years. And, have hesitantly decided to offer it to the public for a limited time. Guaranteed authentic for life.
