For the first time in over five years we have acquired an ORIGINAL Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein Half Sheet (22x28").   This gem's only real issue was the top right border corner was tip torn which has been addressed with professionally paperbacking and now displays in Gorgeous, Excellent + condition.  And, in better condition than most that have appeared at auction.  Most have had wrinkling issues which this one did not.

What else needs to be said about one of the greatest Universal Horror classics that brought together Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney in their immortal roles as "Dracula" and the "Wolfman". And, Glenn Strange as "Frankenstein". As a matter of fact, it was the ONLY movie to ever bring the three most famous monsters together.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (Universal International, 1948). Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style B.
By 1948, it was apparent that the Universal horror franchise was running out of steam, so the studio sent its iconic creatures out in high style with this comedy monster mash, largely considered the end of the Golden Age of Horror. All the great bogeymen of yesteryear are here: Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein, and even, briefly, the Invisible Man, all pitted against the hapless duo of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. The result is movie magic, especially the performance of Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula, seen by many as his last great role before sliding into the tragic final phase of his life.

A brilliant move on the studio's part was to cast their beloved monsters with their popular comedians in this hilarious spoof! Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Glenn Strange, and the voice of Vincent Price were the foils for the famous duo.

As part of the Universal Horror series, paper from this picture is extremely desirable.

This priceless vintage Hollywood treasure is currently being professionally paperbacked by the best in the business. Paperbacking is the desirable form of preservation for half sheets and the result is amazing!!   Guaranteed Genuine for Life
