Incredibly important piece of Hollywood history. September 9, 1965 letter from Barbra Streisand discussing the making if her TV Show in 1965.  In part reads, "There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into making a one hour special". Barbra Streisand genuinely signs herself (most of her autographed items are secretarial signed).

Barbra made news in 1964 when CBS Television announced a ten-year, $5 million deal with the singer to star in several television specials.

Between 1963 and 1965, at a time when rock and roll music was overwhelming just about everything in sight, a little known singer named Barbra Streisand managed to put not just one, but seven albums of American standards on the Billboard top-selling music charts.  How this came to be, and the story of Streisand’s rise to stardom in those years, is sometimes overlooked in her long and accomplished career.
