I contacted the artist and he provided the following information:
You definitely got a great banner there, as I painted it especially for use as a background prop in Rob Zombie's classic cult film, "House of 1000 Corpses", which was his directorial debut, and premiered in 2003. I did three different banners of this size, for specific use in the film, of which yours was one. Your banner was painted to replicate the style of David "Snap" Wyatt, also formally of Tampa, Florida. I've attached a picture of the actual set, showing its placement. It can be see hanging on the wall of the barn, in the scene where Sheri Moon sings "I Want to be Loved by You". I also did the sideshow related gaffs that were featured in Capt. Spaulding's "Museum of Monsters and Madmen". The most prominent being the Alligator Boy, and Aqualina, the FeeGee Mermaid. See movie scene image below
