40th Anniversary Gold Invitation Plaque
What an Extraordinary Treasure During this 100th Frank Sinatra Birthday Celebration Period!
Here is an astonishing find, a true piece of American History from the greatest singer of all time...and only 500 were made.. (probably less than half still exist today)
Take a trip back to 1979 , you are big Frank Sinatra fan and you are one of only 500 exclusive people invited to celebrate his historic 40th anniversary in show business and it was also his 64th birthday at the same time. And you were given an amazing gold invitation plaque with a gold image of the "Chairman" standing with a microphone in his hand as though he is singing to You! .. A stunning memento and extraordinary piece of history! Only the 2nd one we have ever owned in 35 years collecting. Also comes with a "copy" of the original Caesars invitation Letter! (the Original letter is being sold with the Sinatra Music Statue Box acquired from the same estate as this plaque) The ultimate find for the vintage Hollywood and/or Frank Sinatra collector! (Note: We ALSO have the Original Frank Sinatra 40th Anniversary Statue Music Box, which is offered separately, but would be GREAT to have together in the same collection! See HERE).
Frank Sinatra Caesar's Palace/Invitation Plaque Commemorating His 40th Year in Show Business.
An invitation to the 1979 Caesars Palace 40th anniversary tribute to Frank Sinatra. The three-dimensional Lucite invitation is written in gold tone letters against a black background with a raised image of Sinatra at a microphone. Size: 5x8".. The invitation reads in full “Caesars Palace/ Cordially invites you to a/ loving tribute to/ Frank Sinatra/ On the occasion of his/ Fortieth year/ in/ Show business/ December 12, 1979/ Cocktails – 7:00 P.M./ Anniversary Tribute 8:30 P.M./ Supper – 11: 45 P.M./ Caesars Palace/ Las Vegas, Nevada/ Black tie.” The invitation was given to recipients and accompanied by a letter from Harry Wald dated November 13, 1979, explaining that the star-studded event would be televised by NBC the following year.(a "copy" of letter is included).
This Sinatra treasure was displayed in a smoke free home for nearly 40 years and has some slight age related patina (some fo the gold on his face has worn off, but could be touched up if you choose to, but we personally like GENUINE age related wear as its adds another layer of authenticity to it). Acquired (along with the Sinatra Statue Music Box) from the son of the couple who attended this historic Frank Sinatra event in 1979..
Condition: Very good. Some of the gold paint has worn off Frank's face and could easily be touched up. But, it actually adds to the authentic character of this Rare piece.
