John Wayne – significant historical document. His 1955 Divorce Agreement signed Both with his birth name and stage name , "Marion M. Morrison a.k.a. John Wayne. Signing his birth name is extremely rare. But, in over 30 years collecting John Wayne memorabilia we have never seen a document he signed with both names. An incredible piece of Hollywood history.

Typed Document Signed ("Marion M. Morrison a.k.a. John Wayne"), 3 pp, legal folio, n.p., July 26, 1955, relating to his divorce from Esperanza Wayne, pages moderately toned, lightly creased, two holes punched at upper margins of all leaves.
John Wayne married Mexican actress Esperanza Baur Diaz in 1946; the tumultuous union came to an end in 1954. This agreement is between Wayne and Esperanza's divorce attorneys, Jerome B. Rosenthal and Samuel P. Norton, to whom she owed some $40,000: Wayne agrees to cancel checks already issued and redirect the sums to Rosenthal and Norton.
