Amazing piece of Sports History!  Just a few years after being traded from the Boston Red Sox to the NY Yankees, Babe Ruth at his first time at bat in the 1922 World Series against the NY Giants. .  Terrific shot of the Bambino's powerful swing, but a miss!

Original black and white action 6 ½” x 8 ¾” wire photograph picturing Babe Ruth swinging and striking out at the plate in his first at-bat of Game One of the 1922 World Series. The 1922 Series was the first of many series appearances by the New York Yankees and the first series with Ruth as a member of the team. An original typed caption is affixed to the photo and reads “First Game of the 1922 World Series Babe Ruth Strikes Out His First Time At Bat. 10-4-22”.
