The title lobby card is theater used, but in very good condition.  The main graphic image is the iconic of the subway grate blowing Monroe's dress upward, exposing her legs.  There are five small tape stains on the edges, where tape was used, and later removed (which we think gives it an added touch of authenticity).  There are two staple marks and about seven pin holes in the upper black background above the title.  The reverse side of the card has a screen service stamp and a few numbers written that do NOT affect the front in any way.  There are no other tears, fading, stains, smudges, missing paper, fading, folds, or pin holes.  There has been NO restoration. The colors are richer and brighter, than the poor JPEG image suggests.

Also, this title card is very elusive in the market place and rarely comes up for sale. It is the first Title Card we have acquired from this classic in over 25 years of collecting.

The Seven Year Itch (20th Century Fox, 1955). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14"). If there's a more iconic image of Marilyn Monroe than that of her skirt blowing up around her as seen on this fabulous lobby card, we have yet to see it! This particular scene in the film was originally shot on location at Lexington and 52nd Street in Manhattan, but the cheers and whistles of the bemused passers-by, all of which only served to anger and embarrass Monroe's then-husband Joe DiMaggio, made the footage unusable. Director Billy Wilder rebuilt the location on the 20th Century Fox lot and reshot the scene, which required more than 40 takes for Monroe to get it right.

NOTE: This Title Card sold at Heritage Auctions in July of 2008 for $1200, with the following condition report: (note our title card offering has NO restoration at all, 100% Original):
"This card was misdescribed as being Mint when in fact it has had restoration work which included pinholes in the corners and several in the image. The borders have had airbrush work and there is a small tear in the left border which slightly extends into the image."
