Practically nonexistent AUTHENTICALLY  Autographed 1972 "Godfather" publicity photo of Brando transforming into Vito Corleone

For many years we have had many requests for a Marlon Brando "Godfather" signed poster or photo.   And our response has always been, "as far as we know a genuine one does not exist".   Based on our research, prior to this gem surfacing on the market, no other dealer or auction house had ever offered a "Godfather" photo authentically signed by Marlon Brando.  Signed IN-Person at a Los Angeles delicatessen in 1989.   Most likely the ONLY authentically Signed PSA Certified Marlon Brando "Godfather"photo  in existence, as it is highly unlikely another like this exists!

The reason for such scarcity for a prized autographed Vito Corleone photo was primarily due to the fact Marlon Brando detested signing autographs.   As a matter of fact, a number of in person autograph hounds on the west coast I know stated he not only outright refused but might even get very testy if he was approached for an autograph. But to get a photo signed in-person for his most famous Academy Award winning role, which he boycotted at the 1973 Academy Awards, is unheard of.   And not only that.  We think this particular photo is exceptionally extraordinary, Signed perfectly in a light area on his left cheek during his "Godfather" transformation.   This particular photo is also an exceptional investment as seasoned collectors know what iconic "in character" Signed photos command.  For example, Judy Garland signed "Wizard of Oz as Dorothy": $25,400. Billie Burke signed "Wizard of OZ Good Witch" photo: $18, 480.  And there have been more than one of each of these found over the past couple decades.   One can only imagine where this Marlon Brando "Godfather" will be in 5 or 10 years as there is a good chance there are no other Authentically signed, that have been PSA or JSA Certified.

Extremely scarce glossy 10 x 8 Paramount promotional photo for The Godfather, with a close-up image of Brando sitting in a make-up chair for his Vito Corleon transformation, signed in black felt tip. In fine condition. Signature was obtained in 1989 at a Los Angeles delicatessen. Signed images of Brando in his iconic role are virtually unobtainable. Certified PSA/DNA and comes with Full PSA Letter of Authenticity.
