What makes this particular fight program exceptional is the gorgeous, extraordinary artwork of both fighters on the cover.  Many vintage fight programs had generic covers with the same artwork that was used multiple times.  A real gem to add to any vintage boxing collection.  AND, it also comes with an Original Promo Photo, with great images and stats both fighters. A historical fight at Yankee Stadium ten days after the famous Babe Ruth dedication!  It is rumored that Babe Ruth attended this fight, which would be one of his last public appearances.

Joe Louis finished his career in style when he beat Jersey Joe Walcott in June of 1948. Sold at the venue is this program.

Condition:  Very Good-Excellent condition.  Three inside pages have their top right corner borders clipped off.  The beautiful cover has detached from the program but has been reattached with a few small pieces of tape.  The cover itself and gorgeous artwork would look amazing matted and framed !

The inside has spectacular fold out images of the two iconic early 20th century fighters.      Also inside are  numerous historic bio pages of the two fighters including one that lists all the earnings for Joe Louis.
