One of the most amazing signed photos of Thomas Edison we have ever seen in our 35 years collecting.  The clarity and detail on this particular photo is astonishing.   Signed in vintage fountain pen ink, "“To Mrs. F. D. Morrison, Thos. A. Edison.”

Also, while 95% of the Edison autographed photos are not actually signed on the photo but on the matting below the mounted photo, this is one of the first we have seen where he signed directly onto the photo. In addition, this is an extremely rare photo as it is not the typical Harris & Ewing photo, but a photo produced by Edison himself (See the TAE Copyright stamp in the lower right).  This is the first time we have seen this TAE copyright photo. 

Superb matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of Edison in profile, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen with his beautiful flourishing signature, “To Mrs. F. D. Morrison, Thos. A. Edison.”    In fine condition, with a somewhat noticeable diagonal crease to the right side. Great photograph of the legendary ‘Wizard of Menlo Park
