If you're thinking, "I've never seen that poster before".. its because no one has!
Extremely Rare "Exhibition" poster for this beloved 1950 classic with James Stewart and Harvey the rabbit. Rare may be an understatement as according to movie poster experts and long time collectors , this poster has never surfaced before. Exhibition posters were sent to a handful of major theaters prior to the films release on rare occasion so exhibition posters in general are quite scarce.... You may see the "Harvey" one sheet appear on the market, but you're not likely to ever see this one again!
Excellent original folded condition. Also quite a bit larger then the one sheet. * See enlargeable image of this amazing gem above
Harvey (Universal International, 1950). Exhibitor Poster (38" X 50"). DS. Comedy.
Starring James Stewart, Josephine Hull, Peggy Dow, Nana Bryant, Charles Drake, Cecil Kellaway, Victoria Horne, and Wallace Ford. Directed by Henry Koster. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge and fold wear.
Lovable drunk Elwood P. Dowd (James Stewart) has a best pal, Harvey, that nobody else has ever seen. Harvey's not illusive, just invisible. Oh, yeah, and he's a six-foot rabbit. James Stewart's great Oscar nominated turn as an eccentric drunk (that you never see take a drink during the film!). The imaginary giant rabbit "Harvey" character is a "Pooka"...from the Celtic mythology meaning a "...mischievous creature very fond of rumpots." .. Stewart was nominated for Best Actor, and Josephine Hull won for Best Supporting Actress in this classic, beloved film.
