Here is a Merv Griffin Show ticket from Oct. 23, 1973 that was signed by guest John Wayne. Mr. Wayne signed the ticket upside down! Beautiful bold red ink signature.  One of the best John Wayne signatures we have seen, un-inscribed "John Wayne".   And unlike many of his photos which were actually signed by his secretary, this is a solid genuine signature. Furthermore, on a historic piece of memorabilia from one of the most popular talk shows of the 60s & 70s makes this an extraordinary piece of Hollywood history.

John Wayne had a special admiration of Merv Griffin and appeared on his show several times.  Merv Griffin also interviewed him a couple of times on the set of Mr Wayne’s movies.
