Stunning original photo of Marilyn Monroe & Clark Gable.   Intimate, tender and almost eerie close-up image of the two Hollywood icons who both, because of their untimely deaths, would never make another film.  Gable would not live to see this film's release passing away at 59 in late 1960 and Marilyn Monroe who would follow him the year after the film's 1961 release, in the Summer of 1962 at age 36.

Combine the stellar cast of Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift with famous director John Huston, a script by award winning playwright Arthur Miller, and a classic American film is born. The shoot was wrought with difficulties and setbacks due to Monroe's growing dependence on alcohol and drugs. Yet, upon release was critically acclaimed and well received.
