The Mummy's Ghost
Original Vintage Lobby Card (11x14")
Starring Lon Chaney and John Carradine

The most desirable of the Chaney "Mummy series", this beautiful vintage horror lobby card has beautiful vintage bright colors and a spectacular image of Chaney as the Mummy in the border art.   Terrific scene card with Yousef Bey (John Carradine) getting ready to inject Ananka (Ramsay Ames ).    In very good condition with some minor bottom border corner wear and tear and a couple pinholes near John Carradine's  poison needle bearing arm.     Paper from this title is very scare and valuable with one sheets selling for $12,000 and lobby cards as high as $3000!   And as most collectors know vintage horror (particularly Universal Horror posters & lobby cards) is the most solid investment and the gold category of the movie poster collecting genre.

The Mummy's Ghost (Universal, 1944). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
This was the fourth film in the Mummy series from Universal Studios. After the success of the original The Mummy in 1932, and highly profitable runs of other sequels to horror features, Universal embarked on a new Mummy series in 1940 with Tom Tyler taking over the role Boris Karloff made famous. In 1942, Tyler was out as Universal wanted to promote their new horror star, Lon Chaney Jr., and cast him as the Mummy Kharis in the final three films. In this sequel, the Mummy is in Massachusetts being revived through the use of Tanna leaves. John Carradine, as the evil Yousef Bey, is sent on a mission to retrieve Kharis and the Princess Ananka and return them to Egypt. Bey soon discovers that Ananka, whose mummified body is on display in a museum, has been reincarnated and he now wants to kidnap the reincarnated princess for his own desires. This lobby card features a wonderful image of Chaney as the Mummy in the border art.
