In Person Signed Autographed Sketch - 1955

Autographed original pencil sketch which is a striking imae of the "Chairman". Signed in person by "The Voice" in 1955. Measures 9 x 12 and is signed blazing bold in pencil by Sinatra as follows "Thank You Dorothy , Frankie". Item obtained directly from Dorothy who has kept it these many years. She obtained the autograph on the sketch IN-PERSON in New York in 1955. She had met Frank Sinatra at a radio station in the city and asked him if he would sign one of her sisters sketches for her. He agreed and her sister who then lived in LA California drew the sketch and mailed it to Dorothy (Comes with this original mailing envelope postmarked April 22nd, 1955),

When she recieved the drawing in the mail she promptly returned to the radio station and had Sinatra autograph the item for her. The drawing which is on slightly heavy stock artists paper has some very minor surface creasing. A truly unique and one of a kind signed Sinatra item which was autographed by him at quite likely the zenith of his legendary career right after he had won the ACADEMY AWARD and right before the Capitol recording sessions which are still considered his finest musical work.

For a number of reasons this autographed Frank Sinatra is not only an exquisite piece but a historical treasure. First it was acquired in person by well known and respected autograph hound Michael Wehrmann. I have since communicated with Michael Wehrmann and he discusses his many encounters with Mr. Sinatra and Sinatra's scary bodyguard. Michael would wait outside Mr. SInatra's apartment at the Waldorf waiting to return from dinner. Secondly, it is one of the most desired images of Sinatra and to have it autographed is like the "Picasso of autograph collecting". Also, it was signed during the late 80's/early 90's when it was next to impossible to get Sinatra to respond to an autograph requests (Based on what we have seen over the past 25 years, ALL Sinatra autographs obtained through the mail were signed by his secretary). ALSO, this is the FIRST large size 11x14" we have ever seen authentically signed by Sinatra (Michael Wehrmann told me this was his favorite photo to get Sinatra to sign). Frank Sinatra Signed Contract - Extremely Rare Recording Contract on Capitol Records onionskin paper.

This is a 1-page 1960 agreement (approx size 15 x 10) between Sinatra and Capital Records "in which Essex (Productions) agrees to record a certain number of master recordings embodying my vocal performances pursuant to each and all of the terms and provisions of the Distribution Agreement between Essex Productions, Inc. and Capital Records Corp. dated December 6, 1955, as amended by the said agreement of this date. I (Sinatra) agree that I will record such master recordings at times which will permit Essex to conform to the delivery schedule to which Essex agreed in the said agreement and that all such master recordings will be up to the artistic quality which I have maintained in my prior performances for Essex in connection with its production of master recordings." Nicely signed in blue ballpoint to the right hand corner by Sinatra, this is obviously a significant document!!
