Here is one of the most highly desired and Very Scarce horror titles to appear on the market.  With two of the three primary horror legends, Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney. You can just hear collectors drool when any original Frankenstein paper like this becomes available.  Of all the posters for this title, the Window Card is the most elusive only appearing on the market a handful of times over the last 20 years.  While the largest movie poster auction house has sold three one sheets, they have only sold one window card which had extensive restoration including in-painting  in the Title.  The artwork on this window card is incredible, the two legendary monsters battling with the unforgettable Maria Ouspenskaya looking on.

This window card is in used condition and had a fold line, border tears and tape on back prior to professional restoration.  Also, the blank top and bottom borders have been trimmed.  That said the image area is in very good condition and required no restoration other then minor touch up on the fold line.  This window card has been professionally paperbacked by the best in the business. As you can see in the image it has excess backing outside the window card borders which adds extra protection to the fragile borders. However, the new owner always has the option of matting out the extra paperbacked area or trimming it off.  The paper backing is of the highest quality.  Rising Museum Matboard is the natural choice when the highest levels of conservation is required for the protection and preservation of artwork. Made with 100% cotton fibers and the purest form of cellulose. This matboard is 100% acid and linen-free.   SEE the Before and After images below.  You can see where the most noticable flaws have been restored yet the card has maintained its original vintage appearance.

Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (Universal, 1943). Window Card (14" X 14.5"). Two of the mightiest monsters in the Universal Horror franchise met for the first time in this thrill-filled extravaganza. Bela Lugosi finally donned the Frankenstein makeup he had declined years before, and Lon Chaney Jr. reprised his role as Larry Talbot, making this one of the favorite films in this classic series.

This immortal horror classic lead to a string of multi-monster movies, including House of Frankenstein (1944) and House of Dracula (1945), before the genre came to a close in Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948). Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, however, is considered by many to be the finest of the "team-up" films ever made. Written by Curt Siodmak, who had first brought the Wolf Man to life several years earlier, the film starred Bela Lugosi as the Frankenstein Monster, Lon Chaney Jr. as the lycanthropic Larry Talbot, Maria Ouspenskaya as Maleva the Gypsy woman and the scene stealer from the original “Wolfman”.. It is an engaging thrill-ride from beginning to end. Offered here is a beautiful example of the highly desirable window card, showing the principal players in all their gruesome glory.

This is very rare lobby card from an early Charlie Chaplin movie titled "A Woman". The largest movie poster auction house in the world has never offered anything from this Chaplin title.  Charlie Chaplin's 44th Film Released July 12 1915.  "A Woman" was Charlie Chaplin's ninth film for Essanay Films. It was made in Los Angeles at the Majectic Studio. The film starts with Chaplin meeting Edna (Edna Purviance) and her parents in a park; the mother is played by Marta Golden and the father by Charles Insley. In this film, Chaplin dresses as a woman to fool Edna's father. It was the third and last time Chaplin played the role of a woman on film. He played a woman in two Keystone films: "The Masquerader" and "A Busy Day".  The scene depicted here is of Charlie back in men's clothing in the parlor with Edna Purviance.

Lobby cards were used in U.S. theaters and are rarely produced for today’s films. These small movie posters (11”x14" printed on card stock) were generally produced in sets of eight, although the number of lobby cards in a set can vary from as few as four to as many as sixteen. These mini movie posters were designed for display in a theater’s lobby for the purpose of luring movie goers into the theater by showing highlights from the movie. A lobby card set entailed one Title Card (TC), a lobby card usually designed similar to the one sheet with credits and feature/close-up artwork of the major stars, and seven Scene Cards (SC), each depicting a different scene from the movie. Lobby Card movie posters appeared during the early 1900’s during the Charlie Chaplin era. This may be one of the earliest examples of a lobby card.  Printed in the lower left corner of the card is American Multi-Color Corp. N.Y. A caricature of Charlie holding a feather duster appears lower right with the title "A Woman". True to the form of a lobby card, it does measure 11" x 14". It is in very good condition with some light age toning around the edges, and a small tear in the margin of the lower right corner.

"A Dog's Life" - Lobby card from 1926 release. A very RARE and valuable title. One sheet in 1995 sold for $37,000!! The lobby cards for the 1926 release are considered much nicer then the 1918 release and more popular. Try to find another like this..VERY RARE and in nice condition for a 80 year old lobby!!!.

Triple Trouble (Essanay, 1918). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Triple Trouble, although commonly acknowledged in Chaplin filmographies, was not really a Charlie Chaplin film in that it was released without his permission, and much to his annoyance by Essanay three years after he left the studio. In this scene excised from an unfinished film called Life, Charlie goes to a flop house for the night where he encounters some rather odd characters, including a drunk who won't stop singing until Charlie smashes him with a bottle, but not before preparing his bed and pillow and tucking him in afterward. This original card has a pinhole in each corner and is otherwise on excellent, unrestored condition. Extremely RARE lobby card, the first we have ever seen from this little known title. . Very Fine.

ABBOTT & COSTELLO IN HOLLYWOOD. This colorful poster features a large images of the
comedy kings in the upper half of the poster overlooking great caricatures of Bud, Lou, Fraces Rafferty and Jean Porter by famed artist, Al Hirschfield. Poster also features three smaller scenes from the film as well,. Solid VG+ condition with scattered small edge nicks and tiny edge fold separations. There's a 3" long tear in the image area near Lou's chair that has been partially repaired on the back. Additional light/moderate edge wear and faint smudging. Bright, intense colors.

RARE Title Card from "Among Those Present", 1921. This is also an incredible find for any silent movie or Harold Lloyd collector (I like to think of investor). This Title Card is in very good condition. About 1/2 inch was trimmed from top and bottom, not affecting any part of the image whatsoever. Size is 9.5" x 14".  But, it was all excesssive border trimmed , noneof the images area.  Even the copyright info is in the lower right corner "Copyright Associated Inc 1921". Many of the silent movie lobby cards were actuallyonly  8x10" inside a 3x4" border to make it 11x14" total size. Great vintage artwork. Has survived well over it's 89 year lifespan!! A wonderful find.

The Stooges are trying to get a patent on their rather unusual fly-catching device, but they calculate that they need to catch 100,000 flies to pay for the patent. Some crooks overhear them, and misunderstand, thinking that the Stooges are the winners of the $100,000 sweepstakes.

When the crooks start chasing the Stooges, the boys hide in a sporting goods store. Curly accidentally shoots a store dummy, and the Stooges panic and try to get rid of the body. They try to dump it in the alley, but a cop comes along and chases them away for trying to "dump garbage" there. They then decided to bury the body in a pet cemetery, but a nightwatch hears them and calls the owner, who comes over with a couple of his friends from a costume party and terrify the Stooges.

What Stooge critics say about "Three Pests"..

"Here's one I really wish AMC would play! (A favorite from my childhood.) If your unsure how good Christine McIntyre is, watch the "Show me your hearts!" scene. She's awesome! At the end of that scene, there's a good MOE/LARRY moment. Christine throws a jar of ink at Curly, but it hits Moe in the face. Moe backs into the hallway (looking like Al Jolson). Larry sees him, gets down on one knee and exclaims:"MAMMY!" Moe says "PAPPY" and hits him in the face! I love the 'stiff' in the body bag scene at the Ever Rest Pet Cemetery. (with the hand slapping Curly on top of the head every time he pulls the bag over his shoulder.) The DEVIL, SKELETON & VILLAIN (just like in "Spook Louder") are good too. As far as the abrupt black screen at the end, I don't know why that was done..but I like it; somehow, it seems right for this short."

We have been fortunate enough to acquire these two incredible Stooge treasures which VERY RARELY appear on the market and when they do, it is usually at Christies or Heritage where the final hammer price is usually double or triple our prices. Even the last 1930/40s Stooges poster that sold at Heritage sold for almost full value with about 50% restoration. Rare Original vintage Columbia Short one sheet. This is the first we have ever seen from this title. Any 1940's Stooges with Shemp poster is difficult to find. Great graphics and artwork with two insets of film scenes. This gem is in excellent + condition and has been professionally linen backed.

Dunked in the Deep is a 1949 short-subject comedy film starring the Three Stooges (Moe, Larry, and Shemp). It was produced and directed by Jules White and written by Felix Adler. Co-starring in the short is Gene Roth as 'Mr. Borscht.'

The Stooges are tricked into becoming stowaways by their neighbor Borscht, a spy for a fictitious USSR-like country. Stranded on a freighter on the high seas, and sustained by eating salami, they discover that their 'friend' has concealed stolen microfilm in watermelons. After a wild chase, the Boys overtake Borscht and recover the microfilm.
