Stooges aficionados need no lecture from me on how rare these 1940s lobby cards with "Curly" are. But let's just say it can be years before one of these lobby cards (from ANY Stooge title) appears on the market. The few that we have acquired over the last 30 years have sold quickly. This is the BEST we have ever acquired in 30 years collecting!!

In addition, this particular lobby card was designed with extraordinary "border art" featuring the three iconic comedy legends. . PLUS, the Best scene of the film, the "Gorilla scene".. This gem is in excellent condition. It has a few pinholes at top left near border and a small hole at bottom border that have been addressed with professional restoration, which was only in or near the border areas. Besides that, card is in amazing condition for 70 years old!. See enlarged image. An extraordinary Stooges treasure you're not likely to ever see again!
Short BIO:
After an attempt at installing a door with mishaps galore, the boys are recruited by the police chief (Bud Jamison) as police officers. The head of the citizen's league, Mr. Dill (John Tyrrell), warns the police commissioner that he must capture the ape man that is terrorizing the city, or he will have his job.
The boys get a tip that the ape man is burglarizing a particular store and head out to catch him. They patrol the store, with Curly pausing for a while in a rocking chair aside a cat whose tail happens to swing simultaneously with the rocker. The tail gets caught eventually, causing the cat to screech, and Curly to scurry away.
