A first for Cvtreasures!   One of the most exciting treasure acquisitions we had in a long time, this extremely scarce (and based on our research  the ONLY one in existence) Houdini lobby card we have scoured the universe for the past 40 years,  is a find of a lifetime!  Original paper for this Houdini is very Rare, and in particular lobby cards as only one other has ever surfaced over the past 30 years via auction results.

HOWEVER, the other card that sold years ago was NO Comparison to this card which shows a great image of a compromised Houdini in an Escape Scene.  Undoubtedly  the BEST lobby card ever found for this 100+ Year old film.  In the world of vintage movie lobby cards, THIS is a Masterpiece.  Feast your eyes on this Gem, as it will disappear , like Houdini himself, before you know it !

Condition: This 100+ year  old lobby card had border wear and tear and has been professionally restored.  * See enlargeable image above.

The Master Mystery (Octagon, 1919). Lobby Card (11" X 14") Chapter 6 -- "The Mad Genius."
This exciting serial, featuring the legendary escape artist and magician Harry Houdini, was released over the span of a year, starting in 1918 and finishing in 1919. In this exciting cliffhanger, Houdini is about to be electrocuted in a very early version of the electric chair. Although the device has first been used in 1888, it wasn't used widely in the USA until the 1920s. This device was perfect to display Houdini's escape abilities. Professionally restored, this lobby card once showed pinholes, a few tears, and chips. There was paper loss in the borders that extended slightly into the interior.  Now after professional restoration it now looks Amazing!   And based on our research the ONLY one in existence.
