A First for Cvtreasures!

Here's particularly Beautiful RARE vintage movie poster from this legendary WC Fields classic.  Very good condition with expected wear for an 80 year old poster.     100% Unrestored.    Has border tears, tape repairs on borders and some fold splits and tape on back That said, a gorgeous Rare WC Fields poster of which only two or three exists.     (And you always have the option of sending it to have restored and linen backed, but we think the vintage wear and tear gives it that Golden Age character.) .  Gene Widhoff Artwork

Never Give a Sucker an Even Break (Universal, 1941). One Sheet (27" X 41").
This is W.C. Fields' last starring role, and what a great swan song it is. Written under his pseudonym of Otis Criblecoblis, the movie is a film within a film as Fields pitches a story to a studio exec played by Franklin Pangborn. It's our first time to offer a one sheet for this memorable misadventure.

This zany, screwball comedy, the very last picture starring the legendary W.C. Fields, is one of his wildest films. The paper-thin plot, about a man (Fields) trying to pitch a movie to a Hollywood studio, is a perfect vehicle in which to showcase the former juggler and pool shark's unique brand of comedy. Broad and farcical, the story is short on logic, but long on laughs. This great one sheet, with its fabulous cartoon rendering of Fields is a rare find for collectors of classic comedy, as material featuring this classic comedian is quite scarce.   As a matter of fact, based on our research of auction results in the past 20 years,  there have only been one or two others  to have appeared on the market.  Most early 1940s movie posters were donated and  destroyed for the WWII paper drives.

Starring W.C. Fields, Gloria Jean, Leon Errol, Margaret Dumont, Franklin Pangborn, and Susan Miller. Directed by Edward F. Cline. An unrestored poster that has an overall presentable appearance. May show some edge and fold wear, fold separations, creases, tears, pinholes, misfolds, tape stains, and paper loss. Cellophane tape in the folds and verso.   Gene Widhoff Artwork
