"Guys & Dolls" Lighter 

RARE ORIGINAL  !

Very rare lighter gifted by Frank SInatra !

Note: We have acquired this Frank Sinatra vintage lighter a couple times over the past several years and it has consistently been one of the most (if not THE most) desired pieces of historical Hollywood memorabilia we have offered over the last 30 years... The demand to own one of these Frank Sinatra personally owned treasures by collectors and Ultimate Gift Givers is intense!  .  .  Lighter is one of the nicest styles we've seen and one of the more rare.  Like most of his lighters this was made by Nesor with the engraved "Thanks Sinatra" on it.

Note, this particular lighter has been referred to as the "Guys  and Dolls" lighter as it was produced and handed out by Mr Sinatra during his filming of the movie "Guys and Dolls".   I had another of this style about 7-8 years ago from someone who worked on the movie and befriended Mr Sinatra.  A gem of a find!

Note: This particular Frank Sinatra "Gifted" lighter is the most RARE style we have come across.  We are not sure why there are so few to surface on the market,  but this is only the 3rd one we have acquired in 40 years collecting!    And THIS lighter comes with Extraordinary Provenance. 

PROVENANCE: 
A few weeks ago we acquired  one of these Rare lighters from the estate of Steven Fischer, author of the best selling book, “When the Mob Ran Vegas.”     We are excited to have discovered Steven Fischer had a second lighter he acquired from Jilly Rizzo's son.   If Jilly Rizzo doesn't ring a bell, he was Frank Sinatra's best friend and Manager and Body Guard.  Jilly was owner of the famous "Jillys" in NY City.  A popular night spot for socialites and  celebrities and in particular the "Rat Pack".    Included is a letter of provenance from William Rizzo (Jilly’s son)

Frank Sinatra was known to carry with him and give to friends Cigarette Lighters with his name imprinted on them as a token of his thanks. These lighters would simply say "Thanks Sinatra" or "Thanks Frank Sinatra" 
.
What more needs to be said. We have been fortunate enough to acquire this rare piece of personal memorabilia once belonging to "Ol Blues Eyes" himself.     It is about 1.25 x 2".

** A 1965 article from Esquire mentions "Sinatra gave away $50,000 worth of gold cigarette lighters before he was thirty".   It was an amazing article about Sinatra and was considered by Esquire "the greatest story ever published by Esquire".

This is a true piece of history!  We have been collecting these cigarette lighters once belonging to Mr Sinatra for many years, some of which we have sold to well known celebrities.  They are our BEST sellers !
