"Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein", 1948
Original Vintage Half Sheet (22x28") Movie Poster
Also Starring Bela Lugosi - Lon Chaney - Glenn Strange

Well, HERE IT IS!! The #1 most sought after Abbott & Costello title and one of the most popular Vintage Universal Horror Classic movie posters. This is one of the most requested movie posters we get from customers.

For the first time in over ten years we have acquired an ORIGINAL "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" Title Card  (11x14").   Very good-excellent condition.  Had some slight smudges and crinkling at top border and a few pinholes which was resolved with minor professional restoration.  It looks Amazing!   Almost the same stunning artwork as the half sheet with terrific images of Bud, Lou and the legendary horror icons.   But, on this Title Card Frankenstein has Bud and Lou by the collars...   Artwork is spectacular!

What else needs to be said about one of the greatest Universal Horror classics that brought together Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney in their immortal roles as "Dracula" and the "Wolfman". And, Glenn Strange as "Frankenstein". As a matter of fact, it was the ONLY movie to ever bring the three most famous monsters together.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (Universal International, 1948). Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style B.
By 1948, it was apparent that the Universal horror franchise was running out of steam, so the studio sent its iconic creatures out in high style with this comedy monster mash, largely considered the end of the Golden Age of Horror. All the great bogeymen of yesteryear are here: Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein, and even, briefly, the Invisible Man, all pitted against the hapless duo of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. The result is movie magic, especially the performance of Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula, seen by many as his last great role before sliding into the tragic final phase of his life.

A brilliant move on the studio's part was to cast their beloved monsters with their popular comedians in this hilarious spoof! Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Glenn Strange, and the voice of Vincent Price were the foils for the famous duo.

As part of the Universal Horror series, paper from this picture is extremely desirable.
