We have never seen these Over sized vintage promotional studio released photos for the 1950 John  Wayne classic “Iwo Jima”.    As a matter of fact, our research shows these large photos have never appeared on the market before, untitl now!   However, given the size (11x14” same as lobby cards) and the black & white images, it seems almost certain these were the original photos that the colorized lobby cards were made from.   Only one of the photos is the same as a lobby card, the others are unique images that were never made into lobby cards.   And some spectacular images that were better than most of the lobby cards.

A great and Rare find.  First time in my 40+ years collecting I’ve ever seen them.

Note: We acquired a collection of 16 of these studio released photos.  The price noted above is for EACH photo.  Just include the number photo in your order. Each enlargeable images above and below has the photo number in the upper right of each photo.
