$750.00

Original Vintage Western Movie Poster Memorabilia John Wayne James Stewart Collectibles For Sale
"The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", 1962
Original Vintage Half Sheet Western Movie Poster (22x28")
Starring John Wayne, James Stewart and Lee Marvin

Fantastic Rare half sheet from this immensely popular western classic with three of the silver screen's biggest legends. Terrific artwork that is ... This vintage poster is in very good condition with handling wear, minor border tears and some tape stains on border that you'd expect from an Original 60+ year old movie poster. . .

Different from the more available one sheet,  this striking unique artwork is IMO superior to the one sheet.  And while we have had about 10 of the one sheets, this is the FIRST half sheet we’ve ever acquired.
This half sheet features the best graphics designed for this film, featuring Stewart and Wayne coming through the bar-room doors, looking for a showdown with Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin).

A classic collaboration between James Stewart as a city-bred lawyer, and John Wayne as a tough-as-nails gunslinger, who find common ground in opposing Lee Marvin's heinous Liberty Valance, a vicious outlaw who terrorizes the town of Shinbone. Directed by John Ford, this is one of the great classics of the Western genre. The poster offered here, a must for any serious Western collection.

"When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." What Western fan can forget this line from John Ford's most complete vision about the passing of the old West? Highlighted by a stellar cast and a Citizen Kane-like story line, the film tells of an aging senator, famous for killing a notorious outlaw, mysteriously returning to Shinbone for the funeral of a homeless man. This was the first time James Stewart and John Wayne were cast together.

Gun-shy lawyer James Stewart is saved numerous times by his more seasoned tough-guy friend John Wayne during run-ins with a band of outlaws led by Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin). This top Western classic is the first film in which the two stars (Wayne and Stewart) would work together, and here they are both vying for the affection of Vera Miles.

This is one of the best westerns Ford ever made, and the poster is a favorite among collectors. This half sheet features the best graphics designed for this film, featuring Stewart and Wayne coming through the bar-room doors, looking for a showdown with Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin).
