1939 Photograph of actress Anna May Wong mobbed by fans on the streets of Hollywood and striking a pose for photographer Don English from Paramount Studios. One of her only candid images we have handled, this is stamped and dated on the back and the condition is fantastic.

BIO:
Anna May Wong (born Wong Liu Tsong; January 3, 1905 – February 3, 1961) was an American actress, considered to be the first Chinese American Hollywood movie star, as well as the first Chinese American actress to gain international recognition. Her varied career spanned silent film, sound film, television, stage, and radio.
He was born on  April 1, 1901and died on March 1, 1964 at age 62. 

Photographer Notes:
Don English was a well known Hollywood photographer in the early 1930s/40s.  He was particularly famous for his Hollywood starlet photography like Marlene Dietrich.  One of his Marlene Dietrich photos sold at auction in 2011 for $1100.
