Here’s a Very Scarce Houdini TYPE I antique photo that we’ve never seen in our 40 years collecting

A stunning crisp Type I antique 103 Year old photo of Houdini in great close-up from a scene in his 1919 silent film, “The Master Mystery”. Very RARE to see an original period TYPE I photo survived from the film surface.

HOUDINI, Harry (Ehrich Weisz). The Master Mystery Photo Still. B.A. Rolfe/Octagon Films, (1919). Single-weight glossy gelatin photograph of Houdini unconscious as men fasten him to a wooden beam in this scene from Houdini’s first film. 7 7/8 x 9 5/8”. Creasing and slight chipping in margins not affecting central image. This 103+ year old photo is in Excellent condition with a nice vintage sepia toing for a nice touch of added authenticity.

NOTE: Much of this film has been lost. However, this particular scene Survived. And you can actually see this photo scene in the video at time 2:08. See it HERE
