Joe Frazier and  Cassius Clay (aka Muhammad Ali)
Original Vintage Boxing Fight Poster (14x22")
"Fight of the Century", March 8, 1971

Very Rare poster used to promote the telecast of this "Fight of the Century" in 1971 between these two undefeated boxers.     Note still promoted as "Cassius Clay" in large letters and smaller his new name "Muhammad Ali".   This scarce specimen, based on our research, has only appeared on the market once about ten years ago and was severely faded.  This gem is in quite extraordinary condition with its original bright colors.  On heavy stock paper..  Just some age related toning and wear around edges.

1971 Ali-Frazier I Fight Poster. Dubbed "The Fight of the Century," the 1971 Heavyweight title bout between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali was met with an tremendous amount of hype. The fight went the full 15 rounds, with Frazier registering a devastating left hook that floored Ali, significantly damaging his jaw. Frazier retained his title after a unanimous decision, handing Ali his first professional loss. Here we present a highly rare poster from that event, which was held at NYC's Madison Square Garden. Measuring about 14x22",
