Historic Rare Vintage 1964 Miami Herald TV Guide Newspaper Supplement

Promoting "The Munsters" First Episode

SUPER RARE!

Back in 2001 after being on eBay for  a few years, two particular classic TV treasures caught my eye , both from the hugely popular 1964 TV sitcom,  “The Munsters”.   One item was an unopened “Munsters Paint Set” , that sold for around $13,000.  The other was a TV guide newspaper supplement with Herman Munster on the cover.  This TV supplement sold for $1900 twenty years ago.  At first I didn’t understand the immense demand and value for the supplement.  However, I soon discovered that Unlike the official "TV Guides" of which there are a relatively plentiful supply on the market, the independent  newspaper supplements are extremely scarce.  This is due to a tiny fraction that were printed compared to the millions of "TV GUIDES" and also most likely because many people (like my Dad) kept the "TV Guides" for a while, whereas the TV guide newspaper supplements were either never used (because most people already had a TV Guide), or they were discarded with the newspapers.

That said, we are excited to have discovered a particularly Rare and Super Desirable “Munsters” TV Newspaper supplement from a nearly 60 year old Miami Herald with Herman and the ever popular and ORIGINAL “Marilyn Munster” Beverly Owens, who left after the first season. Hence “Munster” material with her is Extremely Scarce!

Size: a Large 12x15" !

IMPORTANT NOTE:   What makes this TV Newspaper supplement guide even more valuable and historic is it is promoting the Very First episode of the Munsters, which would air on September 24, 1964, about ten days after this supplement featured and introduced "The Munsters" on the cover of the Miami Herald TV Supplement on September 13, 1964.

What I also did not fully understand back in 2001 was just how intense the Munster collectible market was.   Although 1960s TV show toys and memorabilia has very high demand, the "Munsters" seems to be extraordinarily hot!

WE can confidentially say, you’ve Never seen one of these before !  So without further adieui , feast your eyes on this gorgeous classic TV masterpiece !!  And a large 12x15"..
