Oversized - 1933 Vintage, on-set “Tarzan and His Mate” photo captures Johnny Weissmuller, Maureen O’Sullivan, and director Jack Conway

EXTREMELY RARE: Behind Scenes w/ Director Jack Conway Photo of Johnny Weismuller and Maureen O'Sullivan filming the 1933 "Tarzan and His Mate". This is without a doubt the most exquisite vintage Tarzan photo we have ever seen. It is an original oversized studio photo with the press release snipe on the back along with the stamp date 1933. This photo was actually used for press release in 1933 to promote the film. On the back is a copy of this photo as it appeared in newspapers all across the country to promote the film. .

We have been fortunate to recently acquire two vintage original Tarzan "filming” photos. Both are wire service/press release photos with original provenance, dates and historical snipes on the back.

In the past we have acquired a number of vintage Tarzan movie posters, signed lithographs and autographs, but this is the FIRST time we have acquired these photos and these types of "filming" photos.
