1951 - Here is a VERY RARE (the first we have ever had) Original Vintage 8x10 still from "Superman and the Mole Men" with George Reeves.  Terrific image of George Reeves and Phyllis Coates.  Very good condition with minor handing wear and has a beautiful age related sepia tone (more beautiful in person than the scanner picks up in image).    See enlargeable image above

Shot on the cheap to act as a sort of "pilot" for the forthcoming television series, this was the first film to feature George Reeves as the "Man of Steel." 

George Reeves stars as the Man of Steel in a feature version of what is essentially a pilot for the popular television series he appeared in from 1952 to 1957. Phyllis Coates, who was Lois Lane in the first season of the show, also stars. Superman comes to the aid of a race of pygmy underground dwellers who the local townspeople think are a menace.
