The John Wayne poster we have searched for over 25 years!   It is my personal favorite in my 30+ years collecting movie posters. Because it has the most amazing artwork of any John Wayne movie poster.   This one sheet has it all.  A masterpiece of vintage movie art. The artist for this painting was Harold von Schmidt, who was an illustrator for Saturday Evening Post.....  The bright spectacular colors, original artwork and exceptional close up and pose of John Wayne makes this one of the most sought after posters to John Wayne, vintage movie, western and cavalry collectors..  This is only the second time we have acquired this gorgeous vintage  poster in 35+ years collecting.  . Excellent + condition and has been professionally linen backed..

Note: This poster has been professionally linen backed and looks amazing!. It is in exceptional Excellent  condition.  And the colors are extraordinarily bright (many of these I have seen have faded colors)..  A magnificent, vibrant copy.

The second in John Ford's "Cavalry Trilogy," this was the only one to be shot in Technicolor. John Wayne stars as an Army captain on the eve of retirement who must quiet a potential Indian uprising. Wayne is ably supported by such Ford regulars as John Agar, Ben Johnson, Harry Carey, Jr., and Victor McLaglen. Prior to professional linen backing this beauty one sheet it only had minor fold wear.   Now looks amazing on acid free  linen. Magnificent artwork of Wayne and his co-stars, including Joanne Dru in her third film.
