No introduction is necessary here. One of the most beloved classics of all time! For the past several years it has become an annual Christmas event. Millions watch it every year and can't wait until next year when they can see it again. To this day the only other comparable classic to command such annual devotion is "The Wizard of Oz" . Not even "Gone with the Wind" has resulted in the demand and remarkable global popularity as these two classics. And some may argue that not even OZ hits the emotional cord as powerful as A Wonderful Life.

*Lobby cards with both Stewart and Reed are most rare and highly desirable by collectors. And, this happens to the BEST card in the lobby card set, the memorable "Moon Scene". A scarce and most desirable piece of Hollywood history!

Here is an Original lobby card movie poster used to promote the original showing of this epic holiday classic back in 1946. Before the days of monopolized movie theaters (i.e. Showcase Cinemas) lobby cards were a very important promotional medium to entice theater goers with scenes of upcoming movies. Eight were produced in a set (seven scene cards and one title card) and were displayed in an illuminated showcase so people could get a teaser of the movie.

Original Lobby cards are 11x14” and made of a heavier paper (then one sheets). This card is in Excellent + condition.  The colors are extremely vivid and the vintage artwork is stunning. You are highly unlikely to find another in such excellent condition!

James Stewart and Donna Reed do the Charleston on this card for Frank Capra's classic. This was Capra's first production through his newly-formed Liberty Films, and it was passed over by the public and quickly forgotten. When it lapsed into the public domain in 1973, television stations nationwide began to use It's a Wonderful Life as cheap programming during the holiday season; it has since became a Christmas-time TV tradition.
