The second 1949 "OZ" Title Card we have acquired in 35+ years of collecting. The first one we acquired about 5 years ago and sold. BUT, that card had condition issues, not the exceedingly RARE Un-Restored Excellent-NM condition as this one. . Here's is another RARE opportunity, while it lasts! In 2008 this Title Card in NM Condition sold for $7200! Truly an Investment Grade historical Hollywood treasure!
It is on a rare occasion we acquire one of these 1949 re-release OZ lobby cards. Many collectors believe these are superior to the original 1939 cards as the stunning colors, artwork , graphics are just spectacular. These Rare 1949 Release lobby cards have become more desirable then the original 1939 and often sell for more. In 2008 this Title Card in NM Condition sold for $7200! And this Gem we have acquired here is also in Excellent + to NM condition. No tears, NO pinholes, No stains Only a subtle age toning around the border edges that adds a nice extra touch of vintage authenticity.. I personally prefer and love a light vintage tone to my 70 year old movie posters! A 1939 Title Card sold in 2003 at auction for $15000.

We just acquired the 1949 Re-release Wizard of OZ Complete Set from a long time collector who had these displayed in his home for 20 years! And took excellent care of them. It is the first time in our 37 years collecting vintage Hollywood memorabilia we have ever seen the Entire set available.
It would be great if someone bought the entire set , but we are also offering the cards individually. Starting wit this most coveted and masterfully designed Title Card with all the main characters in gorgeous vintage Technicolor.
Here we are offering the STUNNING Title Card. As you can see the artwork is just magnificent! A BEAUTY! And, is INDEED, THE card that sold for over $7200 at Heritage in March 2008. Be sure to check the other cards from this set. After we sold one of these last year, we had several collectors who asked if we would ever acquire another. I responded, if ever maybe several years, as I never imagined such an opportunity would surface so soon. But, of course we always have eager to buy requests for sold out items, then when we do acquire, those same collectors seem to disappear. It's just human nature to "want" what we can't have.
