Very exciting and unique John Wayne autographed memento from 1971. An Original Program for the grand opening of the John Wayne Theater. A particularly striking John Wayne autograph specimen as he signs BOTH his famous nickname “Duke” followed by his full signature “John Wayne”. Recipient was apparently a close friend as Wayne writes a very personal inscription which only he and the recipient would understand. Also, unlike many of his autographs and autographed photos that are signed on a dark background obscuring the signature, this is signed on a white background producing a stunning signature contrast. And of course the program is a terrific piece of John Wayne memorabilia history in its own right and provides a nice provenance as to when and where the program was Signed. Pre-Certifed Beckett. (Note the two Top Authentication experts left PSA for Beckett about five years ago)

Program for the grand opening of the John Wayne Theatre with the gala world premiere of Big Jake at Knott's Berry Farm in 1971, 8.5 x 11, four pages, signed and inscribed inside the front cover in black felt tip, "Dah-veed, Please no 'Hallow Harry' to poor old, Duke, John Wayne." .. In fine condition with a subtle vintage smudge above Wayne's Giant 6.5" Signature!
