The most spectacular genuine Autographed Judy Garland photo to surface in 40 years!
I recently attended an estate auction of one of my favorite, beloved long time customers. His name was Carl and his was a lifelong classic movie collector. Carl was particularly an avid “Wizard of Oz” and classic Horror collector. And over several decades Carl amassed a huge collection. One of his favorite movie stars was Judy Garland. Carl had in his collection a particularly stunning Judy Garland vintage autographed photo that she signed to her God-Son. And although we have acquired a number of Judy Garland signed photos over the years, this signed photo is the most stunning I have ever seen. If Judy Signed 500 photos in her career this has to be the one in 500! A Gem of a Find!
Carl was a friend, so this museum worthy piece deserves only the very best home!

Unquestionably in her hand, Judy signed this gorgeous vintage sepia toned photo around 1947-48 (based on the award winning Judy Garland signature study). Signed in bold vintage fountain pen in the perfect location (upper right light background area), “To Gregory, Love & Kisses, Judy”. And Judy appears to be happily gazing with a big smile at her own handwriting and signature.
Of all the Judy Garland signed photos over the past 40 years, this is the first we have seen with this intimate inscription which was something she only did for someone very close to her.
Note: Photo comes with copy of provenance letter from John Gregory Todtman stating that his mother became friends with Judy Garland and Ms. Garland asked to be his God-Mother.
