Abraham Lincoln
Matthew Brady - Original Antique Vintage 1864 CDV Photo

Matthew Brady Gallery

Stunning Abraham Lincoln CDV photo taken by Matthew Brady in his DC Gallery on January 8, 1864.

NOTE:  Although  we have add other Lincoln CDVs  from other photographers off of the Brady negative..  This is the FIRST Lincoln CDV directly for the Brady Gallery in New York.   Highly rare, Highly desirable BRADY CDV!    Has the coveted Brady stamp on back !

Why is this so significant ?
Because although many Lincoln photos were produced off the original Brady negative and sold for a premium  by other photo galleries in the mid 1860s,  a Lincoln photo from the Brady studio means the President actually did  a Live sitting at the studio.  And later the photo was produced using Brady’s superior photo processing.
