He associated with many of the stars of that time during their stay in Philadelphia. The Earle Theater opened in 1924 and was demolished in 1953. The Earle Theater was home to many major music performers who were just starting out and were less known in the 40's including Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey Frank Sinatra, etc. in addition to theater.
