For the FIRST time in our 39 Years Collecting Vintage Boxing Memorabilia and Historical Autographs, we are excited to have acquired the MOST RARE Boxing Autograph, the elusive Sonny Liston. And a particularly choice specimen to die for! On a Rare Photo Autograph Card Liston used less than 17 months (his reign as Heavyweight Champion). That very limited time period along with Liston's well known reluctance to sign due to his borderline illiteracy is why only a handful of these have surfaced on the market. Has been Certified and Encapsulated by leading Autograph Authentication Service PSA.
Condition: Card is in Very Good Condition with some wear that adds a nice touch of vintage patina authentic appearance which I personally love ! Looks to have been folded at one time. Beautiful unfaded photo and "WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION" title heading in Red. Liston signature is 8/10 or better! Signature in particular is beautiful bold vintage ball point pen ink. A museum grade signature and piece of history that will make any collector proud and wannabe owner Envious! If ever an autograph could be described as "Beautiful" , this is it!

Signed 1960's Sonny Liston Promo Card. Our favorite format for the scarce signature from this bruising former Mafia enforcer is this special card that the champ had created to honor autograph requests. This was signed at some point between his assumption of the title from Floyd Patterson in 1962 and his loss to Cassius Clay in 1964. Sonny's death from a drug overdose in 1970, paired with his borderline illiteracy, has made examples of his autograph a tough commodity. You'll find few finer than this 8/10 blue ink example on a vintage 3.5 x 6" promo card. Encapsulated PSA/DNA Authentic.
