Original Vintage WORKING Space Robot Tin Toy
Vintage original tin 1962 Horikawa Attack Robot (11" tall) that works. Rare two tone blue and red color. Over all nice shape with just the rite look for its age. This robot works with batteries installed the doors open and guns blazing in a 360 pattern. Most don't work but this one does! A beauty of a Find! Quite remarkable condition for this near 60 year old Space Toy Treasure, with just some minor battery compartment rust.

Horikawa rolled out a variation of their 11 inch Robot around 1962 with the aggressively named “Attack Robot”. Attack Robot walks, stops and fires its camouflaged chest canon like all its product family members. What’s different is found in aesthetics: new high-tech litho designs on the chest-fire doors suggest a combination of mechanized dread and technology while the two-tone metallic-flake Attack Robots paint scheme adds to the visual oomph of the toy. Early two-tone Attack Robots bring a premium, and look menacingly terrific when presented against a unicolor of panoramic assembly of Robots and Astronauts.
