John Wayne Original Vintage Western Memorabilia Collectibles For Sale
The Quiet Man, 1952
Original Vintage Movie Poster Lobby Casrd Set
Starring John Wayne & Maureen O'Hara

Complete Set of Eight

Over the past 40 years collecting historical film memorabilia, we’ve owned a number of the vintage lobby cards from  John Wayne’s  1952 Irish movie “Quiet Man”.  But, we have Never owned the complete set at one time.  Until today!

Like every lobby card set, there are eight cards, with one Title Card.  The title card has similar artwork as the one sheet along with all the credits. The other seven cards are scenes cards with images of the most memorable scenes in the film.    The title card is the most coveted which is priced to sell at $750 while the scene cards sell generally  for about $275 each .   But for a limited time we are offing the complete set of Eight for  $1950.  Individually it would be about $2700.  And “Quite Man” lobby cards are consistently one of our Best treasure sellers!

Note the cards are in excellent condition with just the theater used corner pinholes.  But, the theater owner in this case was very careful about limiting the pin holders to the border corners and not in the image areas.    Also you will note the cards  have survived with particularly bright colors, as many of these have faded due to light exposure over the past 70 + Years.

Note:  We will no doubt get requests to sell individual cards, most surely the Title Card.  Once we sell a card this full set offering will expire and the rest will be offered individually.

The Quiet Man (Republic, 1952). Lobby Card Sety of Eight (11" X 14").
A labor of love by John Ford would prove his genius once again. With no one willing to finance his sentimental journey back to Ireland, Ford pulled together his handpicked cast and crew, and fashioned one of his best films, even with the meager budget Republic begrudgingly bequeathed him. John Wayne's march to Victor McLaglen's house with the growing crowd remains a masterful cinematic scene, even to this day. The gorgeous Maureen O'Hara co-stars. It's a rarity to find an entire 70+ year old set .
