It is on a rare occasion we acquire one of these 1949 re-release OZ lobby cards. We always believed they were superior to the original 1939 cards, the color, artwork , graphics are just spectacular.

A great find, lobby cards from the 1949 reissue set are very highly prized by collectors of this all-time classic film. The majority of the cards feature scenes from the film that didn't appear in the original set of lobbies. Card #7 captures a memorable moment, as the Cowardly Lion terrorizes Dorothy's other companions. Excellent condition.

Here we are offering one of the best cards of the set, "Lion Acts Tough" . This particular card was one of the rare OZ lobby cards, ONLY produced for this 1949 lobby card set. One of our favorites. You know the scene. A BEAUTY! The colors and contrast are exceptional on this vintage lobby card.

Note: How MGM Designed these cards with both Dorothy's dress AND the Yellow Brick Road in Red ?...VERY scarce card to find!
