Dracula original vintage lobby card movie poster Bela Lugosi 47b

Dracula, 1931
Original Vintage Horror Lobby Card Movie Poster
Starring Bela Lugosi

Fantastic original vintage horror lobby card used in theaters to promote the 1947 re-release of the iconic gothic horror vampire "Dracula" .  Terrific scene with Helen Chandler, David Manners, and Edward Van Sloan .. And if that''s not enough , look at the striking and menacing border image of Lugosi in the lower right...   Simply astonishing to say the least.      The re-release Dracula lobby cards are as rare as the original 1931 release...
{Note: we have two other lobby cards from the 1938 &1947 re-releases).  Excellent condition with very minor handling wear... .

Just look at the enlargeable image above , what else needs to be said?

Dracula (Universal, R-1947). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
In 1930, Universal was a struggling studio, desperate for a hit. Taking a chance on an adaptation of a popular Broadway play, Carl Laemmle Jr. acquired the film rights to Bram Stoker's immortal novel about an aristocratic vampire, and brought Dracula to the silver screen in 1931. Not only was the film a sensation, but it made an overnight superstar of Bela Lugosi and ushered in the Golden Age of Universal Horror.  .  The dark greens and blacks in these lobby cards give their images of Lugosi and Helen Chandler, David Manners, and Edward Van Sloan an appropriately ghastly hue.
Quite extraordinary condition for this 70 year old lobby card!  Very Fine.
