One of the most desirable horror titles for collectors.  Paper on this title is extremely scarce.  Even for the 1948 re-release.   Many collectors believe the artwork for the 1948 lobby cards is superior to the original 1935 release.  Amazing images of Karloff and Lugosi.    This lobby card scene shows an incredible closeup of "Madman" Karloff, along with terrific border art of both Karloff and Lugosi.

Torture, kidnapping,and brain damage make for one hair-raising horror classic from director Lew Landers. Bela Lugosi is the twisted surgical genius obsessed with Edgar Allan Poe, and Boris Karloff is the escaped convict looking for some plastic surgery. Great shot of Karloff !  The scene card has pinholes in the corners, stains on the left side, a stamp in the lower right corner,
