Its hard to believe 2025 is the 50th Anniversary of this iconic film!   

This iconic movie poster Half sheet needs no introduction.  Maybe the most influential film of all time if you go by its affect on the human psyche.

* NOTE: The "JAWS" Half Sheet is a particularly  Rare verision poster for this film.  While we have owned several One Sheets for this film over the past 35 years, this is the FIRST Half Sheet we have owned.

Condition:   Rolled Never folded so hence none of the typical fold line creases.  It did have minor restoration to fix a couple small border nicks. 

The release of the iconic 1975 movie, Jaws, left an indelible mark on the collective consciousness of audiences worldwide. As people walked out of theaters, their hearts pounding, an unforeseen ripple of fear and awe cascaded through the human psyche. This cinematic masterpiece masterfully tapped into our primal fears, harnessing the power of suspense, anticipation, and the unknown. The impact was profound, lingering long after the credits rolled. People hesitated at the shoreline, their imaginations ignited by the thought of a lurking menace beneath the waves. Even in the safety of their homes, the mere sound of a gentle ripple or a distant splash could send shivers down their spines. Jaws demonstrated the immense influence movies possess to reach deep into our souls, evoking emotions we never knew we carried within. This particular original vintage Rare Half sheet movie poster was actually used to promote the film in 1975.  Nice bright colors.  Before linen backing it had expected fold lines and border wear typically seen on theatrical movie posters which are no longer.

More than any other post 70's poster, this one has skyrocketed in value in just the past couple years.  Only Star Wars is in the same 1970s league as "JAWS".    If you are a collector with an eye for investment, this is the one to watch!

NOTE:   This original movie poster  advertising art is one of the most desirable of the 1970s.  More than any other poster the value of this cinematic masterpiece has appreciated exponentially .   It was just a couple years ago we wrote about "Jaws" one sheets selling for $1000.  In just that short period of time, they've surged to up to $3000+ investments.     And show no signs of slowing down.   In October 2021 a one sheet sold at auction for $3720.   This April 2023, another sold at auction for over $3800!    And in July 2024 one just sold for $4200, just like this one linen backed. .

Just one look at this poster and it instantly provokes a response in the viewer. Roger Kastel's artwork for Steven Spielberg's summer blockbuster is among the most iconic images in the history of cinema and with each passing year, the poster, like the film itself becomes more legendary. Roy Scheider as the Sheriff and reluctant man to step on a boat, Robert Shaw as the vengeful and determined Quint, captain of the Orca, and Richard Dreyfuss as the obsessed Marine Biologist come together as an unlikely trio all out for the same objective; to kill a shark that has been eating the inhabitants of Amity Island. This Oscar-winning thriller starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss took such a big bite out of the box office that it was followed by three sequels. Great unfolded poster for classic Steven Spielberg adventure film starring Richard Dreyfuss, Robert Shaw and Roy Scheider. People were afraid to go into the water for months after this film came out! One of the great films of the 1970's. This half sheet is one of the rarer sizes on this title, especially in such fine condition.
