Dracula, 1931
Original Vintage Horror Lobby Card Movie Poster
Starring Bela Lugosi

Let's just get to the point!  This is arguably the BEST Dracula lobby card in existence.   Not even any of the 1931 lobby cards (which typically sell for $10,000+ Each when they rarely do surface  on the market) , compares to this incredible image of the Count spreading his "Wings" in the very first Dracula re-release from 1938.  .And if that''s not enough , look at the striking and menacing border image of Lugosi in the lower right...   Simply astonishing to say the least.  And by far the best Dracula lobby card we have ever seen for sale.
{Note: we have two other lobby cards from this 1938 re-release).  Excellent condition with minor expected handling wear... .

Just look at the enlargeable image above , what else needs to be said?

Note:   Just to give you an idea of the immense popularity and skyrocketing value of a top tier horror masterpiece like "Dracula",  a 1931 "Dracula" Title Card sold at auction in July 2019 for $114,000 and a regular scene lobby card sold for $102,000.  A "Dracula" one sheet sold at auction in November 2017 for $525,800.   Making this fantastic 1938 CHOICE lobby card a remarkable opportunity and investment!

Dracula (Universal, R-1938). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
In 1930, Universal was a struggling studio, desperate for a hit. Taking a chance on an adaptation of a popular Broadway play, Carl Laemmle Jr. acquired the film rights to Bram Stoker's immortal novel about an aristocratic vampire, and brought Dracula to the silver screen in 1931. Not only was the film a sensation, but it made an overnight superstar of Bela Lugosi and ushered in the Golden Age of Universal Horror. This great scene featuring Hellen Chandler and Bela Lugosi shows one pinhole in the left border, mild smudging in the borders, bends in the right and left bottom corners, a smooth vertical crease through the "R" of "Dracula," (No crease line). .. Quite extraordinary condition for this 80 year old lobby card!  Fine/Very Fine.
