A great addition to the ultimate Oz collection … A EXTREMELY SCARE (actually most likely EXTINCT, try and find another, never mind a signed copy) beautiful copy of "The Town Pump – “An American Comedy" by Charlie Grapewin in collaboration with Anthony Hillyer. And, if you are a true Oz fan, you need not ask “who”. This book is signed by Uncle Henry himself and reads, "To old man Dalig - From Kid Grapewin - 1934. He wrote something before the date but I can't make it out, I think it may say "Some Time or Summer Time in". The Wizard of Oz was to be Grapewin's last film, but he came out of retirement that same year to film, The Grapes of Wrath. This book was privately published and Grapewin himself numbered it "copy 199." As any Oz collector will tell you, Charley Grapewin is one of the hardest Oz signatures to find, so don't let this pass you buy. The book is extremely clean and in very good condition, the exception being a half cracked hinge. Dust jacket in very good condition as well.
