After 40 years, I’m making my comic book collection available.   It all started in the mid 1980s, when I started collecting specicifally the 1960s TV Photo Cover Gold Key comics.  For me it was more about the excitement of owning the 1966 Green Hornet comics with stunning color photo graphics of Bruce Lee and Van Williams, or the of Nine color photo covers for Star Trek, or the Munsters, Dark Shadows, Land of the Giants, Three Stooges (inc. 3D with Glasses) and all those treasured memories from 1960s TV.   And the gorgeous photo covers were only released in the 1960s, later replaced by less eye popping covers.
..
The ’60s delivered a kind of fantasy television we may never see again.    For pure imagination, escapism and originality, nothing topped ’60s fantasy TV.

So for the past 40 years my comic book collection has been stored away, not for sale.    Until now!

So below are images I took of some of best parts of the vintage comics collection.   In addition to 1960s Gold Key are some Dell 1950s TV like Lucy, Zorro and many other gems from the 1950s.

As you comic book collectors know (just like with every genre of collectibles) condition is king.   A choice comic in poor condition can sell for $40, but in Near Mint that same comic can sell for $50,000!    Like in January 2026, a CGC 9.0 copy of Action Comics #1 (1938)—the comic that introduced Superman—sold privately for $15 million.  We have no million dollar comics but if you are a fan of 1960s TV,  you love our stuff even better!

Some of the Highlights of this extraordinary vintage comic collection:

1. Gold Key issued nine stunning Star Trek photo covers starting in 1967.   We have the complete set of Nine.   See the enlargeable images
2. My personal favorite (and childhood obsession) was The Green Hornet.  As you can see I found multiple copies of the set of 3 that were issued n 1966 and 1967 including Four #1 books.
3. Gold Key issued some spectacular photos covers with Barnabus Collins for only the first Three Dark Shadows covers, they soon switched to the much less appealing animated covers around 1970. We have Three of the #1, with one having the Extremely rare poster insert still inside.
4. In 1953 St John Publishing issued the Three Stooges 3D comics that came with a pair of 3D glasses attached inside.  We have Three of these and One has the RARE original glasses, another has vintage 3D glasses replacement
5.  We have almost the complete set of Munsters (staring in 1964) including Two of the  #1 issue.
6. Also in this collection are some historic magazines.   Including Four Unused/Uncirculated 1960s Monster World magazines, Munsters, Addams Family, Wolf Man and Dark Shadows.  See the enlargeable images
