Dr. Jabez Bowen - of the famed Bowen family of Providence RI, sues Noah Whittens for a debt. Legal warrant for the goods or estate of Noah Whittens of Rehoboth, in the county of Bristol, in the province of Massachusetts. This is to the value of 130 pounds, or to arrest Noah Whittens to appear before the Justices in the county of Providence in the colony of Rhode Island. Signed and dated August 18, 1744 by Timothy (last name illegible). Document has remnants of original wax seal. Minor wear to fold lines. Archivally framed so both front and back are displayed. ..
