 "Alice in Wonderland" Behind-the-Scenes Photo
RARE Original Vintage Historic Photo, 1951 

Stunning vintage TYPE I Walt Disney Behind-the-Scenes Photo in the making of his 1951 masterpiece,  "Alice in Wonderland".    From a recent Walt Disney discovery of six vintage photos, These are truly very rare historic behind-the-scenes photos which we have never seen before and are most likely the only ones that exist. 

NOTE:    While "Alice in Wonderland" was released in 1951,  production began in 1946 and was conceived by Disney probably early 40s or late 1930s.  Hence, these photos which capture early animation work long before production began are from early-mid 1940s.   Which is even more evident in Mr Disney's young appearance as he appears to be late 30s, early 40s in these photos.

NOTE:  We recently acquired a Rare Walt Disney Collection of six behind-the-scenes black and white, vintage silver gelatin, single weight glossy finish photos from the making of Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland. Three of the photos are portraits of Disney himself for "Alice in Wonderland" promotion, while the others are of Disney aiding in the film's production.    

We are offering these amazing Disney Type I photos individually.    This one shows Disney with his artists. Below we included an image of  the back of the photo with typed provenance.    The particular photo Does not have the typed snippet on back.  But, we inluded an image below  for provenance of this six photo collection.

Alice in Wonderland (RKO, 1951). Very Fine. Behind-the-Scenes Photo  (7.75" X 9.5") .
Starring the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, Sterling Holloway, Jerry Colonna, and Verna Felton. Directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske.  Unrestored photo with bright color and a clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as light edge and corner wear, soft creases, slight surface indentations. The verso of each photo has small strips of paper tape adhesive remnants.  A Walt Disney production.
