Original Vintage Movie Poster  Insert (14x36")

In 1960 Alfred Hitchcock introduced to a new Vietnam and JFK era audience a spine tingling thriller like they had never experienced before.  This Hitchcock Masterpiece included a heart-stopping scene that rocked audiences far more than either Frankenstein or Dracula did and like “Jaws” left an indelible scar on the American psyche for the past six decades.    Even today with all the subsequent high tech special effects, “Psycho” is still a powerful psychological nail biting  thriller.  And this original vintage 1960 movie poster insert brings that iconic experience  back to life with a full body image of the film’s star,  Janet Leigh.

Nice condition and has been professionally linen backed.

Psycho (Paramount, 1960). Insert (14" X 36").
Alfred Hitchcock's horror gem has shocked generations of moviegoers and has some of the most collectable posters in the industry. Crazy meets beautiful in this insert, as one of screen's most disturbing characters, Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) stalks a vulnerable Janet Leigh from the shadows.

Hitchcock's foray into psychological obsession had been a core theme throughout his career; however, with "Psycho," he delved into a pure madness that shocked audiences around the world. Hitchcock made dozens of pictures, but many feel that this is his most recognized and renowned film.

Alfred Hitchcock created the definitive modern horror film with "Psycho". The film was one of the first to delve into the psychological machinations of a serial killer, played to perfection by Anthony Perkins. The story was loosely based on the actual case of serial killer Ed Gein which also served as the inspiration for "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". This insert used an image of Janet Leigh wearing nothing but a slip and bra to lure audiences into the theatres!

Starring Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin, Martin Balsam, John McIntire, Simon Oakland, Vaughn Taylor, Frank Albertson, Lurene Tuttle, Patricia Hitchcock, John Anderson, Mort Mills, Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Killmond, Ted Knight. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
